It all started in 1882 with Thomas Edison's first central electicity station in London. A micro-chip governed e-world is nothing without electricity shows how epochal that moment is. 1882 also marked the start hydroelectric power generation and the first electric iron.

That picture was actually taken by my father in law's great grandfather, who grew up in London around the 1860s. They helped design parts of the modern sewer system that are used in major cities around the world.
